Carried  3.0MinutesMotion : Jerry/Morgan approved the minutes as amended. Carried  4.0 Treasurers Report: The treasurer was present. T9S 2B2  5.0 Committee Reports 5.1 Publicity and Community Awareness Second Quilt Motion to approve the expenditure for quilt finishing supplies to a maximum of $300. Anne/Mark, Carried NewsletterStephen and Mark presented and explained a proposal for the revival of the newsletter. Further discussion to take place later in agenda. 5.2 Heritage Site Discussion regarding the highway proposal. Motion: To re-send the letter of opposition to this project to the new Town Council. Bertha/Anne. Carried. Mike Reported: -Joan and Mike planted wildflowers, moved trees, and watered in the shrubs at the riverfront. -Three larch trees were donated by Pedens Tree Farm and planted at the Riverfront in memory of Les Cheshire. -Mike has spoken with the department responsible for the Provincial Building about putting a mural on their south wall. Approval given. Motion: Mike moved to add this mural on to our insurance policy as the building's insurance or town insurance will not cover it. Seconded by Mark. Carried -Mike still working on Mike's Store photograph. -Concept for a mural on west side of the Water Treatment Plant was discussed. Scow Project -Nails were ordered and received. -Rod & Dick have met to discuss project. -Rod has talked to Ralph Johnson about supplying the lumber. Flower Garden -Perennials have not been planted. -Poles for the focal point will be installed and evaluated soon. -Poles for the gateways will be installed this week. 5. 3 Trans Canada Trail No rep. Present.  6.0  Old Business Athabasca Landing Foundation CEPT funding for a feasibility study has not been received as yet. Foundation has met with the Multiplex Group to apply for combined Centennial Funding. AU Christmas Craft Fair-AU is having craft fair on Nov 23/01 from 12-3pm. Mike will book us a table and we will sell: cards, t-shirts, paintings, postcards, and Basky Bear books. Members interested in helping please contact Maxine at 675-4249.  7.0 New Business 7.1 Mentorship Program: Annie Klein and Julie Gildart from FCSS presented information on the Athabasca Mentorship Program. 7.2 Stephen requested a $200.00 budget for to cover the costs of the newsletter.
